A little about me:
I'm a happy wife, mom to 1 and step mom to 5 amazing young people. (Photos to come! I promise! )
I call the Garden State home and feel happiest when I'm worshiping the Lord and spending time with my family and church.
I'm also the founder of a lifestyle blog called www.innerequity.com, dedicated to discovering, creating and sharing inspirational and productivity tools.
My journey with worship in sign began back in 2010 when I was encountered by the Holy Spirit during a praise and worship set. As I was being encountered by the Lord I felt Him drop into my heart a revelation of His great love for the deaf and that He desired that a place would be made for them to encounter the Lord through worship just like hearing people do.
We often feel like we were “created” for something. I truly believe the Lord placed me in the family He did, with 2 deaf parents because He had this plan and this purpose for me.
I believe the Lord is raising up a new tribe of people inspired to raise a banner of praise and worship in Sign Language. I can’t reach every deaf person in every community. But I can share my passion for worship in sign and invite others into this bold and heartfelt way to worship. I hope that as Worship In Sign grows in each church, kids and adults will be inspired to study ASL and serve the deaf in their communities and more deaf and hard of hearing people will see the Lord’s heart of love and faithfulness over them.
Here at Worship In Sign, I work very hard to create free and paid resources that will help you learn how to worship in sign with boldness, and equip you to raise up a new generation of powerful Sign Language Worship Warriors.
I do this in two ways:
- First through free video content on youTube. It’s my passion to share the songs that move my heart, so every Wednesday I share a new video of a powerful worship song in sign language. For each video I invest hours and hours of time preparing, shooting, editing, close captioning, and in some cases coordinating media purchasing and rights.
- Second by creating paid products and services which I design to help my students quickly and confidently sign the songs that move their heart and help them encounter the Lord in the process. Again, my dears, a ton of time, research, technology and financial investment has been working behind the scenes, especially as I strive to create and offer you very best learning tools I can, while ensuring licensing for all the worship music and lyrics shared is done properly.
Prayer, passion and resources go into the creation of everything here at Worship In Sign. I'm not perfect, so please extend me grace along the journey! My desire is to serve you faithfully and lovingly with the best service I can, while remaining committed to learning and growing along the way.
